Client We Are Nameless for Motaclan Sector Automotive Discipline Design  Daventry based automotive marketing agency We Are Nameless outsourced the final design concept for client's Motaclan's advert and exhibition stand ahead of the company's official re-brand launch at the 2022 Classic Motor Show. Motaclan's heritage spans almost 40 years, as expert manufacturers and distributors of classic car parts for the trade and retail under the name Leacy Classics and the Mini brand Wood and Pickett. With the acquisition of MG Rover parts supplier Xpart in 2017 and Racing Green's TVR assets in 2022, We Are Nameless re-branded the company as Motaclan to bring these companies together under one name, cementing the organisation's reputation for servicing the British classic car community. The brief was to work up an existing basic advert framework of three line drawn vehicles created in-house at We Are Nameless to give it more lustre and context, whilst also creating an exhibition stand mock-up for client approval. Working remotely to a minimal brief, the project was turned around within a very tight 3 day deadline to create all original hand-drawn and mixed media assets to mock-up Motaclan's NEC exhibition stand proposal artwork. In addition, the final advert concept was developed to the cue of mid-century automotive posters. The advert remained faithful to the strict palette created by We Are Nameless' brand guidelines and traded on Motaclan's British roots as specialist manufacturers and suppliers of British automotive classic car parts. With hues of Old English White, French Racing Navy and by adding a deep raspberry red, the artwork lent itself to employ the Union Jack to anchor the brand's heritage. The existing line drawn classic Mini, MGB GT and Triumph were shaded accordingly also in red, white and blue across the newly added jaunty deconstructed Union Flag, with a nod to the legendary brand aesthetic of The Italian Job, bringing added brand appeal to Motaclan's target market. The exhibition stand proposal artwork created for We Are Nameless to present to their clients Motaclan, carried through the deconstructed Union Flag flooring from the advert to anchor the brand's very British heritage and reinforce Motaclan's new identity across all advert media placement, on the lead up to the launch and to define Motaclan's exhibition stand amongst the crowded Classic Motor Show environment of Birmingham's NEC. The advert and exhibition concept proposal's were adapted on submission to We Are Nameless following client direction.
